Mums' Cottage provides voluntary support services directed towards lessening disadvantage for community members in the suburbs of Holmesville and wider suburban areas of northwest Lake Macquarie. Our centre was open most weekdays throughout the year to offer companionship, counselling and other support services, particularly for women and families, with a special focus on people who are vulnerable due to social and economic circumstances. Food distribution in partnership with OzHarvest, used clothing distribution and support to people facing domestic violence situations all experienced increased demand during the financial year and these programs were able to be sustained.
