Multicultural Museums Victoria Limited

We build a respectful Victoria through culture and learning through collaborating with our museum members in shared activities. We advocated for State Government multiyear funding support for our members to support exhibitions, event and education activities. We marketed six museums collectively through our website and social media and joint events to drive visitation and increase appreciation of Victoria's diverse cultural heritage. We worked to support the governance and capacity of our alliance and individual members, including the forthcoming Vietnamese Museum Australia, our new sixth and associate member, to celebrate cultural diversity and raise awareness of each museum. We commenced discussions about the membership of a seventh museum member. We supported individual and group education initiatives, including online ones for individual museums and a group online project. We commenced the development of a proposal to have schools visit more than one museum and supported a new group exhibition. Together the six museums champion multiculturalism and support interculturalism.
