The purpose of the MSBase Foundation is to operate and administer an international online neuroimmunology registry and provide free data collection software tools, and administrative and technical support to specialist clinics and hospitals. This enables epidemiologic research and collaborative outcomes for the benefit of people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neuroimmunological diseases (NIDs) worldwide. During 2024: MSBase provided freely available dataentry and visualisation software tools (MDS and iMed) and a research registry (the MSBase Registry) to clinicians and researchers participating in the MSBase collaboration with the aim of benefitting people with NIDs. This is done by way of longitudinal data collection which allows closer disease monitoring including graphing of scores and other criteria. The tools transmit pseudonymised data from consented patients at participating clinics to the MSBase Registry, enabling collaborative research on a worldwide scale. MSBase continues to build new modules into the software tools and continues to improve existing features and functionality in the software tools and the Registry. As part of a modernisation program of works, MSBase has commenced work on the design of a Web Application that will act as a Data Collection tool for Centres MSBase continues to develop the MGBase registry dedicated to myasthenia gravis (MG). MSBase encouraged and facilitated investigatorinitiated research projects and co published collaborative peerreviewed research articles in scientific journals. MSBase provided an opportunity for participating physicians and researchers to contribute to the scientific leadership of the organisation
