About Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club Inc

Mooloolaba SLSC was established in 1922 and is a charity with the specific purpose to ensure the safety and security of the Australian public through the provision of voluntary lifesaving patrols to patrons of Mooloolaba Beach. Mooloolaba SLSC provides a robust educational and development platform, training and developing members to be able to participate voluntarily as lifesaving patrolling members, support personnel, and athletes to allow them to actively participate in the achievement of the Objects of the Club. In pursuit of their objects and in consideration of the physical elements required by volunteer lifesavers, the Club provides a program of surf sports with a focus on the fitness and health of their membership to assist them in their pursuits as volunteer lifesavers. This program further allows members to realise abilities in lifesaving competition whilst showcasing the Club to the wider community. The Club also maintains members in the Junior (Nipper) Age Category, providing essential surf awareness and water safety skills to this age group to not only ensure their safety at the beach but also encourage their continued membership and participation of the Club. Mooloolaba SLSC ensures that its members are well informed and are provided with any and all opportunities to pursue their chosen pathway within surf lifesaving. The Club is able to achieve this through sustained financial management via an interrelationship with entities, the community and government providing necessary resources (financial and nonfinancial) via donation, sponsorships and general funding to assist the pursuit of the Objects.
