Moogahlin Performing Arts exists: to support emerging and established First Peoples creative practitioners to develop and create; to empower our communities; to provide sector leadership. In 2024, we: Provide learning and wellbeing opportunities for First Peoples of all ages in farnorthwestern NSW Contributed to the employment, experience and upskilling of First Peoples artists Fostered new talent in key creative, administration and production roles Supported the development of the sector Engaged with audiences around Australia Our 2024 projects included: National regional tour of 24 locations in 6 states and territories of awardwinning play The Visitors by Jane Harrison, directed by Wesley Enoch. Baiame's Ngunnhu Festival in Brewarrina NSW celebrating culture, language, knowledge and stories with workshops, activities, and the creative development and presentation of new works, including the climax of a multiyear international collaboration with Aanmitaagzi from Turtle Island, Canada. Presentations of a new work Healing Scars by Warren Mason in development selected from Yellamundie Festival 2023, at both Sydney Festival's BlakOut at Belvoir St Theatre, and Carriageworks. This work will go into final development at the end of 2025 for its premiere seasons early in 2026.
