Miscarriage Information Support Service (MISS) was established in 2012 as Australia s first miscarriage support service. MISS is an inclusive community service providing information, awareness, education, resources and support programs for anyone who has been impacted by the loss of a baby through miscarriage/early pregnancy loss. MISS distributed resources and information including support cards, care package bags and miscarriage resources to individuals, hospitals, community organisations and support services throughout Australia. MISS ran an annual event for National Miscarriage Awareness Day (first Sunday in May) in Australia, to raise awareness of miscarriage, and to educate the community around how to respond to miscarriage in a sensitive and supportive way. MISS created an eBook Shared Stories, Coping after Loss and SelfCare to raise awareness, provide support resources and educate the community about early pregnancy loss. MISS is also working in partnership to create Australia s first purpose built memorial garden for anyone impacted by early pregnancy loss. More: http://www.miss.org.au
