MFG raised and maintained awareness about proposed mining activities in the region and across the State. It did so through it's website, email data base, facebook site, responses to queries from affected community members, presentations at community information events and promotion of the MineField film. It also raised awareness of changes to planning laws in Victoria that are adversely affecting landowners and destroying community rights to have a say in actions that affect them. MFG also actively supported the Alliance for Responsible Mining Regulation Vic's work to raise the standards of legislation and regulation in Victoria.
