We continue to support both the emergency and long term needs of people within the Shire of Merredin as well as those of the itinerant travelling public by: 1. the provision of donated food parcels (with assistance from Foodbank and the parishioners of local Churches). 2. accepting donated furniture items for needy residents (through the God Shed facility owned by the Shire of Merredin). 3. maintaining and cleaning the only crisis accommodation in Merredin (One Night Shelter) owned by the Shire of Merredin. Users are referred by the Police, Dept of Communities or local Churches. 4. providing social/welfare/emotional support (emergency meals). We support and contribute to the spiritual welfare of the Merredin community and outlying areas through regular prayer gatherings (United in Prayer), the annual Carols by Candlelight, Light Shine Party (Christian alternative to Halloween). We are a relatable, friendly, Christian presence to our Community.
