The entity runs a public museum displaying both military and colonial history of the local region as well as extensive displays of WW1 military historical significant items including many medal groups. It is normally open to the public every day except Christmas and Good Friday, subject to Covid19 restrictions. It contains over 6,000 books in its library on military history, primarily about WW1 and which is available for research and study. There are many volunteers involved in running the operation. The museum is also responsible to the Fraser Coast Regional Council for conducting guided tours of the Gallipoli to Armistice Memorial located in Queens Park, Maryborough,. Queensland.
