The company s purpose is to promote the prevention or the control of diseases in human beings in areas within which it operates in Australia. The company will: improve the delivery of primary health care services to people by developing integrated and coordinated health services and programs, including actions to address the social determinants that can adversely affect people s health; facilitate the implementation and successful performance of primary healthcare initiatives and programs to improve health outcomes for people we work with. This will include, while relevant commonwealth and state/territory government programs, and privately funded programs, continue, but not limited to: in regard to indigenous people, working with Aboriginal communities to deliver the Commonwealth s Closing the Gap strategies and Indigenous Advancement Strategies or other government programs in place from time to time, to increase health services and improve health outcomes equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. in regard to people with a disability and/or chronic illness, deliver personcentred allied health clinical and support services for these people. in regard to mental health, deliver mental health services that meet the needs of people across the spectrum of care. in regard to youth, delivering youth focussed mental health support clinics where the Commonwealth s headspace initiative supports this or other government programs in place from time to time; and do all such things as are incidental, convenient or conducive to the attainment of the Company s objects, including establishing or acquiring subsidiaries and participating in joint ventures.
