Maluk Timor Australia's primary objective is to improve the quality of primary healthcare being delivered by Timor Leste's own primary health care system by working inside governmentrun health centres, alongside Timorese healthcare workers and in close partnership with the Timor Leste Ministry of Health. Our focus is on (i) investing in people by building the capacity of Timorese health professionals and supporting workers engaged in health care delivery; (ii) strengthening health services and enhancing systems to improve the access to and quality of healthcare; (iii) increasing community willingness to seek modern health care by fostering trust and confidence in health services; (iv) creating partnerships with the Timor Leste Ministry of Health to improve the quality of primary healthcare and (v) creating partnerships and working synergistically with other organisations to strengthen and improve the primary health care system
