Achieving Our Mission through Compassionate Care At the heart of our charity's mission is delivering quality healthcare and support services as a holistic health provider. We are committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of our community by offering comprehensive, individualcentred services that address the diverse needs of those we serve. This year, we have made significant strides in advancing our mission with the successful completion of a pivotal initiative: the Bushfire Recovery Housing Project. Through this initiative, we delivered eight purposebuilt houses to provide safe, secure homes for vulnerable members of our community. These homes serve as a beacon of hope for those affected by the devastating bushfire that ravaged the Mallacoota District, an area already struggling with limited resources and geographical isolation. The fires, which destroyed over 100 homes and left many residents displaced, caused widespread emotional, physical, and financial distress within the community. The destruction left a significant gap in affordable and accessible housing, further exacerbating the challenges those already vulnerable face. Many residents, including elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and families with young children, were left without secure housing, making their recovery from the fires even more difficult. Recognising this dire need for housing, our Bushfire Recovery Housing Project was designed to provide physical shelter and restore dignity, safety, and stability to vulnerable community members. Completing these eight homes has been an essential step toward rebuilding the fabric of the Mallacoota District and providing longterm support for those who have lost so much. Our commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of our community remains unwavering.
