MADALAH Limited is committed to empowering First Nations people by improving lives through education and training. With funding from the Federal and State Governments and corporate partnerships, we provide scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students attending partner secondary schools in Western Australia and universities across Australia. In 2024, MADALAH supported a record 477 students through our scholarship program. Our team completed 223 student visits across 24 partner schools, delivered 80 mentoring sessions, 32 social and emotional wellbeing visits, and 76 cultural academic support sessions. We aim to support students through to Year 12 completion and into meaningful postschool pathways. In 2024, we celebrated 84 secondary and 11 tertiary graduates, with 6 students receiving Excellence Awards for outstanding achievement. To support academic outcomes, we provided 236 Student Outcome Support Payments for services like tutoring, leadership development, and diagnostic assessments. Our peerled mentoring program continued to grow, with alumni and current tertiary students returning to mentor younger scholars. This approach has been key in inspiring students to pursue their goals and engage with MADALAH for both academic and personal development. Beyond inschool support, we delivered key annual events that build student leadership, cultural identity, and wellbeing such as the Year 7 Camp and Orientation, Education and Wellbeing Day, Youth Leadership Summit, and Graduation. In 2024, 23 corporate partnerships strengthened our capacity to deliver scholar sponsorships, career support, and our Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) program.
