Maclean District Historical Society Inc.Registered

We at the Maclean District Historical Society are both the keepers and compilers of the local area's history. Through regular articles published in the local newspaper and our publication of the Journal of the Maclean District Historical Society entitled Clarence River Advocate , we endeavour to tell our stories of the past to the wider community. Spreading the story about our heritage and history is achieved through being open for public enjoyment, through visits and the purchasing of our printed publications, on a wide range of topics. Our volunteers are essential to providing this service, whether it be meeting and greeting our visitors to the Museum or researching and the subsequent writing of the publication.
