The Macedon Ranges Suicide Prevention Action Group (MRSPAG) is a vital nonprofit organisation dedicated to reducing suicide in the Macedon Ranges. By combining lived experience and professional expertise, MRSPAG advocates, educates, and implements evidencebased strategies to enhance mental wellbeing. Through strong community collaboration and the commitment of volunteers, we take a proactive approach to addressing mental health challenges and fostering resilience across the community. We raise awareness and reduce stigma by sharing information online and hosting communityrun events. MRSPAG advocates for improved mental health services, builds support networks for individuals experiencing suicidal ideation, and offers guidance to parents, carers, and friends affected by suicide. Additionally, we deliver and promote locally available training to build capacity within the community. Our peer support program provides vital assistance to those bereaved by suicide, creating a safe space for connection and healing.
