LBLCA actively engages in various activities such as workshops, field days, and training sessions with volunteers and school children to achieve the following goals: 1. Raise awareness within the Lower Burdekin Community about the of sustainable land use and conservation practices. 2. Advocate for the adoption of land management techniques that secure the future livelihoods of local residents while fostering a balanced ecosystem. 3. Encourage collaboration among land users, including government agencies, to address and mitigate land degradation effectively. 4. Serve as a vigilant monitor of emerging issues related to land degradation and management within the Lower Burdekin. 5. Facilitate the exchange of information with the public and support efforts to promote and implement innovative practices. 6. Actively promote Landcare initiatives in schools to foster environmental stewardship among the younger generation.
