LGNC delivered programs and activities for members of the local community allowing for all ages and abilities which included community garden, chatty cafe, playgroups, community lunch, support groups, craft groups, social connection and some venue hire for community groups. We published a fortnightly New Beginnings Newsletter to promote hope, encouragement and connection. We advance social and public welfare by advancing mental health and preventing social isolation. We also provide a physical location where we support individuals to undertake activities or work on projects in the company of others. We have a mini food pantry to support those in need (fresh locally grown produce is supplied by Long Gully Community Garden and other generous community members), nonperishable items are supplied by Bendigo Foodshare and Foodbank and donations.
