Listening Ear's mission is to listen to and support members of the community when they are troubled or lonely by providing a caring and nonjudgemental telephone help line. The primary objective of Listening Ear is to provide a community service for the relief of loneliness, isolation, distress and helplessness to reduce the incidence of mental illness in the community, through our telephone support line. The service received over 6,000 calls during 2023/24, directly benefiting over 2,000 people and indirectly benefitting over 10,000 people.
