About Lifeline Central West Limited
Lifeline Central West is a registered charity that aims to relieve distress and suffering in the community through the Lifeline 13 11 14 Crisis Telephone call centre and 13YARN Indigenous crisis support line. We provide face to face Financial and GambleAware Counselling and communitybased training. The footprint of Lifeline Central West covers approximately 1/2 of New South Wales. Lifeline Central West has centres located in Bathurst (established 1979), Orange (established 1984) and Dubbo (established 2000) where the 13 11 14 and 13YARN crisis phones are manned, as well as face to face financial and gambling counselling services are provided. Many outreach locations are serviced by our counsellors in the Orana, Far West and Central West NSW regions. Lifeline Central West provides: a) Crisis intervention through the 13 11 14 National Crisis Support Helpline b) 13YARN Indigenous support service c) Shortterm, free and confidential counselling to people with financial difficulties including bankruptcy, budgeting and repayment problems d) Credit support, referral as well as community education and advocacy e) Personal counselling for problem gamblers and their families f) Outreach training on domestic violence, mental health, wellbeing and suicide prevention topics g) Rapid Response and community support h) Employee Assistance Program
