LeaderLife exists because children and young people experiencing vulnerabilities in Dubbo are falling through the cracks of a system that doesn t always meet their complex needs. They face multiple, intersecting challenges that limit them from developing fundamental milestones, connecting with community, participating in education and finding work, leading to entrenched disadvantage that can affect the rest of their lives. We work with children and young people in Dubbo from birth to 24 years, their families and carers. We give every young person the chance of a life of purpose, participation and potential, with no child left behind by delivering: (*) Flexible wraparound early intervention, wellbeing and youth work support that is holistic and long term Practical learning and skill development Training and transitional employment pathways Individualised crisis support for children, parents and families A safe space for community to feel a sense of belonging As a result of our work, children and young people break the cycle of entrenched disadvantage. We are: Reducing participation in crime and contact with the justice system Helping children to meet developmental milestones Supporting stronger family relationships Supporting children and young people to be engaged in school, learning life and work skills Supporting healthy choices through selfawareness and helping them to look after their physical and mental wellbeing Supporting them to feel positive and connected with other people, community and culture Transitioning young people into further training and employment Our vision is that children and young people who are doing it tough in Dubbo have the skills they require to live their best life.
