During the reporting period, Lawkapala Foundation Ltd advanced its mission by supporting democratic processes and strengthening local governance in Myanmar and community development in Australia. 1) Key initiatives included the Kayan National Event in Melbourne in April 2024, which promoted cultural identity and community cohesion among the Myanmar diaspora. 2) The Training Needs Assessment for Local Administrators (March 2024) and subsequent Curriculum Development for Local Administrator Training Program (April 2024) strengthened governance and local leadership capacity in Myanmar. 3) A Curriculum Development Consultation Workshop (May 2024) facilitated stakeholder collaboration and capacitybuilding to ensure effective local governance. 4) Prepared for a 2monthlong residential program for local administrators in Myanmar. These programs collectively contributed to strengthening institutions, promoting democracy, and enhancing community resilience in Myanmar.
