Lak Saviya Foundation Australia Inc (LSF) was set up in 2003 to assist people in need in Sri Lanka. In the aftermath of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, LSF recognised the need for ongoing support and assistance for people in need in Sri Lanka, and the willingness and capacity for LSF to provide that assistance. LSF assists people in need in Sri Lanka, with a specific focus on students and young people in poverty in rural and remote areas, disabled youth, amputees, women who have been victims of violence, recently resettled internally displaced persons and people in communities impacted by the various unfortunate events.
