We have continued rescuing and caring for koalas as well as other wildlife in need during the reporting year. With increased land clearing and more traffic our service is rescuing everyday, we have done many educational talks and community forums to highlight the plight of koalas. we have gained new experienced rescuers in more remote areas who are able to attend quickly and begin triage and transport towards us so we can get them to wildlife facilities so much quicker. Networking with other rescue groups throughout Qld to ensure the very closest rescuer attends asap. We have also been able to have remote vets contact wildlife hospitals supplying xrays, scans or other observations and talk to the wildlife vets and get guidance on pretreatment for transport, or when it is going to be a case of euthanasia this can be performed by the remote vet straightaway. streamlining the whole rescue to save the koala unnecessary suffering
