We continue to provide a Safe House for some of our girls when they have left the orphanage. Education continues after leaving the orphanages in the way of secondary and tertiary studies. Support continues at University level. The girls that have married are given food and monetary support, if needed. However, we regularly visit these families, this is to let them know we still care for them. A girls Orphanage is visited every month by one of our coordinators and the girls from the safe house. We take food and supplies to assist them. This also gives the safe house girls the opportunity to build a relationship with the girls in the orphanage and give back support similar to what we gave them when they lived in an orphanage. We help to support building/renovating projects for an orphanage that looks after children and adults with disabilities. A committee member volunteers at Manacare Hopes & Dreams Village when visiting Sri Lanka. This village has a Montessori kindergarten, after school study in English and Maths for local children. There is also a sewing room for ladies nearby to give them an income and good facilities to work in. We also pay an additional daily fee for a physiotherapist to offer his services at the village. Assist cricket and netball teams with equipment and coaching support to enable children to experience these sports. This gives them confidence and a sense of achievement.
