KIGS is established to provide services and resources for the relief of suffering of new migrants, refugees and asylum seekers who are experiencing distress, poverty, sickness, misfortune, disability, helplessness, and disadvantage. KIGS is a notforprofit organisation which assists new migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to settle in Tasmania by consulting, providing, and collaborating with other service providers to provide a range of services and facilities to migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and their families. Over the past 12 months myself and our close volunteers have assisted in the vicinity of 300 migrants and refugees.
