UTHANA Mission: JTH provided $1000 to Uthama Mission to assist in their program for providing daily meals to abandoned and homeless elderly in Kulkata, India Play equipment for Children with disability: JTH provided $2955.50 to fund the purchase, delivery, and installation of play equipment for identical twins who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & Attentional Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). Appropriate daily play is essential to improve their regulation as recommended by the Occupational Therapist working with the family. Playground equipment in their backyard readily available to them any time of the day is needed to achieve this. Orphaned children in India: JTH committed $1200 per year for 3 years to assist in covering living expenses (food and basic needs) for 3 orphan children in Tamil Nadu, India, to be paid annually. The first year is for 2023/24. Music instruments for School in Sabtang Island, Batanes Philippines: JTH provided $3000.00 for the purchase and delivery of music instruments for Sumnanga Elementary School in Sabtang Island, one of the very remote islands in the province of Batanes, Philippines. Music instruments donated include 7 Bandurias (similar to mandolins), 3 violins, 3 guitars, and 2 ukuleles. Approximately 40 pupils per year will benefit from the use of the music instruments. Music training will enhance their musical capabilities, improve memory, coordination skills, comprehension and management skills; divert their attention to the use of musical instruments rather than other nonproductive activities; and teach them to serve and give back something to the community by performing at community and school events. Funding for 50 students in Vietnam: JTH provided funding of $5,637 for school fees of 50 students in Cai Mon Vietnam. This is the second year of assistance to the nuns at the Lovers of the Holy Cross Convent in CaiMon, Vietnam to pay the school fees of 26 Primary and 24 High school students from financially underprivileged homes who would otherwise have had to stop schooling. Funding for school fees of student in India: JTH committed $700.00 per year for 3 years for a total amount of $2100.00 for school fees of a 13 year old student (name withheld) in India. The first year funding is for 2023/24.
