Our purpose is to promote the prevention and control of diseases in human beings, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We do this by providing cultural mentorship, training and education to general practitioners and registrars working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We also collaborate with government agencies to provide suitable housing and facilities for general practitioners and registrars working in remote communities.
