JCC TAS Benevolent Society Inc. remained steadfast in its mission to support vulnerable individuals and families across Tasmania with dignity, compassion, and practical care. Over the past year, we continued to provide vital services that addressed both emotional and material needs within the community. Our team offered pastoral care and conducted regular visits to individuals experiencing illness, ageing, or social isolation. These interactions provided not only comfort and encouragement, but also practical tools to help navigate life s challenges with resilience. We delivered a series of selfhelp classes designed to add meaning and purpose to participants lives. These programs empowered individuals to face personal difficulties with renewed confidence and connection. To alleviate financial hardship, we provided meals, food packages, and emergency support to those experiencing poverty, ill health, or loneliness ensuring that no one was left without assistance in times of need. In line with our commitment to accessibility and cultural care, we continued to operate our Kosher food store, offering nutritious food at or below cost price. This initiative made culturally appropriate, healthy food available to those with limited means. Each of these efforts directly contributed to fulfilling our core aims: supporting wellbeing, reducing isolation, and strengthening the fabric of our community.
