Jarake Wildlife Sanctuary LTD

We prevent and relieve animals suffering by rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned and injured animals, from small furless orphaned joeys to injured adults. We presented some of our work with mange in wombats at The Australian Wildlife Conference, September 2023 in Perth. The work has been published Pharmacokinetics of a topical application of moxidectin in barenosed wombats in the Journal Veterinary Parasitology: Regional Studies and Reports and Extraction and analysis of moxidectin in wombat plasma and faeces in the Journal of Chromatography B. We collaborate with Charles Sturt University and Western Sydney University in projects and development of a new online mange treatment course by collecting samples and providing information and data. We have designed a new 3D printed mange burrow flap to streamline mange treatment in the field.
