During the financial year the principal continuing activities of the company consisted of: Providing social and economic benefits and relief from hardship to the population of Jabiru, West Arnhem and Kakadu region in the Northern Territory; Facilitating the creation, diversification and sustainability of businesses in Jabiru, West Arnhem and Kakadu region; Identifying and promote economic development opportunities across the Jabiru, West Arnhem and Kakadu region and encourage investment in these regions to strengthen the regional economy; Identifying social and economic benefits and opportunities in the town of Jabiru; Providing support and financial assistance to promote development, diversification and sustainability of Indigenous and other businesses in the region; Maintaining employment opportunities for residents and enhance the economic wellbeing of the local communities; and to provide social, cultural, economic and practical assistance to the indigenous communities of Jabiru, West Arnhem and Kakadu.
