We provided education, care and support to families and children aged 36 years. We provided financial support to disadvantaged families and families facing financial hardship, who needed assistance in sending their child to kindergarten in the 2 years prior to starting school. This resulted in several families attending the kindergarten without having to fund their child's attendance. We provided additional assistance, support and care to children and families experiencing social disadvantage, in the form of helping families liase with family support services. We ran several initiatives at the kindergarten that resulted in being able to donate food, clothing and toys to local children and families experiencing disadvantage in the area. We provided priority of access for families of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background, families experiencing domestic violence and known to child protection, parents with health care cards and single parent families.
