Our vision is gender equality for all. IWDA is an Australiabased organisation, resourcing women s rights organisations primarily in Asia and the Pacific and contributing to global feminist movements to advance our vision of gender equality for all. We have worked for nearly 40 years to defend and advance the rights of women and girls. Women s rights organisations, firmly rooted in local communities and context, are the most effective drivers of change for women and girls. IWDA partners with these organisations, along with groups for people with disabilities, in their own contexts to support delivery of benevolent services to communities. Utilising a collaborative model, we offer core funding and technical support to enhance their effectiveness. Our partnership includes more than just financial aid; we also contribute to feminist movements through knowledge creation, translation, and advocacy against systemic injustices. Our roots are in the development sector, as Australia s only development organisation entirely focused on gender equality.
