Interact Australia works to promote social inclusion, health and well being by empowering people to achieve their full potential. We champion and support people with a disability in their choices, offering a range of personcentred supports, matched to meet their unique circumstances and individual needs. We deliver community and employment related services as a Disability Employment Service (DES) provider, and as a registered service provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme in QLD, Vic, NSW, SA, and Tas. Our network means that we have on the ground local knowledge, plus the resources and infrastructure to invest in our people. Our trained and experienced staff support a variety of community programs that provide opportunities for people to develop skills and interests, increase their social networks and maximise the choice and control they have over their own lives. We recognise that people with a disability have the right to be respected and the right to have equal opportunities to participate in the social, economic, cultural, political and spiritual life of the community. Our model is a selfdirected approach, recognising that the person with a disability is at the centre, and to the extent that they are able, is in charge of their planning, funding and support responses.
