About Indigenous People of Biafra (Biafra Community in Australia) Incorporated
Biafraaid supports migrants and refugees both directly through its services and indirectly through partnerships with other organisations. These services include material and financial assistance as well as professional support, such as help with visa applications and access to legal aid. Biafraaid collaborates with various community organisations to provide a range of welfare support services to migrants and members of the community who are in need. On Sunday, 14 July 2024, Biafraaid organised a Food Program Day in Braybrook VIC where it donated tons of food items to hundreds of Melbourne International Students from a diverse cultural background. The students who came through, selected and took home a variety of foods free of charge had a wonderful opportunity to interact with members of the community which helped them to feel belonged and supported. IPOB members have generously volunteered their time at the Foodbank Warehouse, located at 50 Owen Street, Glendenning NSW 2761, on several occasions this year. Their efforts included picking and packing a variety of food products and wrapping pallets, all aimed at supporting individuals in need across Australia and within the local community.
