About Inala Community House
Inala Community House provides many services which greatly benefit the community. ICH's Family Intervention Service and Foster and Kinship Care service are focused on supporting parents and children within the child protection system. Both of these services are primarily focused on keeping children safe. The Settlement Engagement and Transition Support program run by ICH supports migrants and refugees whilst they settle and integrate into the community. The types of supports provided include (but are not limited to) support groups, tutoring, referral services and at times help with representation and advocacy needs. The demand for this service has simply exploded in recent years with the number of newly settled migrants and refugees increasing exponentially. ICH's Neighborhood Centres and Community Connect Worker initiative provide vulnerable individuals, families and children with access to support, advocacy and culturally appropriate referral pathways. These programs work with people in order to support them with crisis intervention, mental health issues, domestic and/or family violence, homelessness, housing and immigration issues. ICH also offers two healthy ageing programs which aim to reduce social isolation and provide support for seniors and an NDIS program which is focused on supporting people with a disability.
