Impact Obesity LTDRegistered

Obesity is a chronic disease often misunderstood, limiting access to effective treatment for many Australians. Our vision is for all Australians living with obesity to access personcentred, multidisciplinary support to enhance their health and wellbeing. By reshaping perceptions, breaking down barriers, and empowering individuals, we aim to enable healthier lives for people living with obesity. In collaboration with researchers, clinicians, and those with lived experience, we identify barriers and develop scalable, sustainable treatment solutions. We support research focused on improving obesity treatment and advocate for better access. In its third year of operation, 2024 saw significant progress for Impact Obesity, including the launch of the Impact Obesity Digital Health Project, publication of the Deakin University partnership rapid review, and the delivery of largest GP survey on obesity care in Australia.
