Hunter Valley Grammar School is a leading independent, nonselective, secular, coeducational day school for students from Preschool Year 12. Located two hours north of Sydney at the gateway to the beautiful Hunter Valley we are in one of the fastest growing regional centres in NSW. We are a valuesrich learning community and we set high expectations for all students to fulfil their potential inside and outside the classroom. The International Baccalaureate (IB) is central to our curriculum focus. We are the only four programme IB School in Australia. We offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students P 6 and the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students in Years 7 10. Students in Years 11 and 12 can choose to study the Higher School Certificate (HSC), the IB Careersrelated Programme (CP) or the IB Diploma Programme (DP) to meet their future aspirations postHVGS. We offer a robust cocurricular program which covers academic clubs, sport, performing arts and other interests and passions. Additionally, Experiential Learning opportunities at HVGS develop students to be inquiring and caring young people through lived, realworld experiences that go beyond the classroom setting. Learning through experience allows them to actively explore new concepts and transform knowledge to construct meaning. Hunter Valley Grammar School offers a range of diverse scholarships, including academic, sport, the arts and STEM that enable talented students a remission in school fees. Additionally, we offer indigenous scholarships which have allowed a substantial number of children from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds to attend our School and benefit from a Hunter Valley Grammar School education. Hunter Valley Grammar School students can engage in a dynamic community service program which includes international and local programs. We provide notforprofit early childhood education in our Early Learning Centre and welcome families from diverse cultural and socialeconomic backgrounds into our Centre.
