About Housing All Australians Limited
PopUp Shelters Implementation of comprehensive strategy developed in 2022 and 2023 to enable the identification, development and project management of potential Popup Shelter sites. Five pop up shelters are now in in operation in Victoria providing housing to over 200 people who were homeless or at risk of homelessness. Development and delivery of a PopUp Shelter in WA and development of identified sites in NSW, Tasmania and Queensland underway with expectation a further two to three shelters will be operating by end of FY2025. Economic Study Continued promotion of Give Me Shelter , Australia's first economic longterm study of the costs of underproviding social and affordable housing. The study continues to assist engagement with relevant federal, state and local government, industry and advocacy organisations, the corporate sector, key stakeholders and community organisations and provides clear and detailed data to demonstrate and inform about the cost of doing nothing and the need to address and develop solutions to this growing problem. * Affordable Housing Development continued on the Permanent Rental Affordability Development Solutions (PRADS) model which aims to maximise the involvement of the private sector in delivering affordable rental housing. Development of the framework and operating model will provide the necessary financial mechanism for private sector developments to provide lowincome affordable housing mixed with private rental. Significant progress in the reporting period release of a digital essential worker housing register which integrates the PRADS model and is now searchable on realestate.com.au for essential workers. *Advocacy Continuing to advocate and educate about the homelessness crisis in Australia and influence change in policy at Federal, State and Local Government level to enable an increase in the supply of low cost, affordable housing and create mechanisms for private sector investment in low cost and affordable housing and providing housing to essential workers on low incomes. This included submissions and presentations to Federal Government Housing and Homeless Plan, Federal Budget Submission, Federal Treasury, NSW Government Property Council of Australia, Property Managers Association, Urban Development Institute of Australia and Australian Institute of Company Directors.
