About Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited
During the year, Hort Innovation continued to invest in R&D, marketing, international trade and extension programs all working towards outcomes, recommendations and resources to help increase the productivity, profitability and global competitiveness of Australia's horticulture sector. We managed a diverse range of investments across our business areas of Production, Sustainability, Trade, Biosecurity and Demand Creation. With 431 active R&D levy funded projects and 82 marketing programs, our team delivered value for the horticulture sector. We communicated the activities, results and practicechanging information from these initiatives via our website and a range of Hort Innovation's own channels and events, plus through industry communications programs, industry development programs, rural Australian media, facetoface engagements and more providing as many opportunities as possible for growers to access and implement program outcomes. We are committed to delivering bigger, bolder, more transformative investments for the horticulture sector, such as the recent announcement of the new Hort Innovation Venture Fund, targeting investments in startups and new technology investments. We continue to work closely with the sector and the Australian Government to respond to any arising challenges and opportunities and ensuring our activities respond to levy payer needs.
