1. Hope for Monash Ltd arranged for the donation of staple food items to be provided to local charities. Suitable bags were provided by Hope for Monash Ltd & donations of staple food items were obtained, sorted into categories by volunteers & provided to local chairities for distribution to families in need over the Christmas period. In excess of 300 such bags were provided to local charities Dixon House, Monash Waverley Community Information & Support Inc & Monash Oakleigh Community Support & Information Service Inc. 2. The program to provide conversational English classes to the local Mandarin community was continued during the reporting year. Staffed by volunteers, the sessions were designed to provide to migrants & visitors with assistance in converse in English. The program was improved & extended to cover both beginners & Intermediate levels.
