Our charity advanced its mission by undertaking a range of communityfocused initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of vulnerable populations, supporting cultural diversity, and promoting social inclusion. We supported overseas communities and charities by facilitating information, resources, and connections to assist with the relocation and settlement of individuals ( 30+ refugees successfully resettled in Australia and abroad) facing displacement. This included providing assistance with sponsorship pathways and working with local communities to offer basic support services, guidance, and advocacy throughout the resettlement process. Our charity engaged actively with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds by creating opportunities to celebrate and share cultural traditions in inclusive community settings. We promoted cultural awareness and crosscultural dialogue by organising and supporting public events and festivals, which also contributed to social connection and identity for underrepresented groups. We participated in a joint Afghan/Veteran dinner initiatives aimed at acknowledging their service and addressing wellbeing challenges. This included participating in veteran support programs, raising awareness around mental health and reintegration needs, and building connections with other organisations working in this space.
