Promote and improve the welfare of cats and kittens generally. Promote and improve the welfare of the stray, abandoned, lost and unwanted cats and kittens. Provide the best possible care to all cats and kittens. To ensure cats and kittens remain the central focus of HCC activities. Increase the concern of the public of Tasmania for the welfare of their cats so that there are no stray, abandoned, lost or unwanted feral cats. Promote responsible cat ownership, and to cooperate with the State and Local Government, any corporation, institution or individuals to encourage: a) responsible pet ownership b) a strong emphasis on the teaching of humane animal welfare principles.
