Hillside Church Care Services Inc. operates a notforprofit retirement Village in a low density, semirural setting for approximately 140 residents primarily in Independent Living Units but including provision (of an increasing number) of rental units for aged persons unable to secure appropriate housing by other means. The Village includes a substantial community centre and entertainment area, a community shed for practical activities, a substantial library and other recreational facilities. In addition the Village provides support facilities to residents including a bus for weekly outings to shops and related activities.
