About HER Africa Ltd
Key Achievements in 2024 1. Economic Empowerment through the Bakery Project Although the Bakery Project in Epe has not officially launched, HER Africa laid the foundation for this initiative, which is set to empower women by providing them with vocational training and job opportunities. The project aims to equip women with baking skills and entrepreneurial knowledge, enabling them to generate income and become financially independent. In doing so, it directly contributes to the mission of advancing women's economic empowerment in underserved communities. 2. STEM Education Program HER Africa initiated plans to introduce STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs in Epe schools. This initiative is designed to provide young girls and boys with the tools and knowledge to pursue careers in STEM fields, helping to bridge the gender gap in education and foster longterm community development. The program also aligns with HER Africa's aim of addressing the educational needs of underprivileged children, ensuring they have access to modern, highquality education. 3. Health and Wellbeing Initiatives Continuing the organization s commitment to health, HER Africa expanded its menstrual health program, distributing menstrual cups donated by Saalt to girls in rural areas, helping to address period poverty. This initiative not only promoted hygiene and health but also ensured that girls could stay in school without interruption, which aligns with HER Africa's mission to support the education of young women and girls. Additionally, the donation of medical equipment and supplies by MedEarth would allow HER Africa to support local health centers, improving access to healthcare for underserved populations. This critical support will directly impact the wellbeing of the community by enhancing healthcare delivery. 4. Support for Education HER Africa continued its efforts in education by providing school materials to public schools and paying school fees for disadvantaged students in Epe. The books donated by Auburn High School supported these efforts by giving children access to learning resources and fostering a love for reading and academic growth. We build a secured entrance and exit gate for Ogunmodede College, Epe These activities helped HER Africa achieve its aim of ensuring that children from lowincome families can access education, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty through knowledge and opportunity. 5. Water Project: Expanding Access to Clean Water in Epe In 2024, HER Africa built a 10tap water project in Epe, providing clean, and safe drinking water to the community. This project now serves up to 1,200 people, offering a reliable source of water that reduces reliance on unsafe alternatives. By improving access to clean water, the project has enhanced health, sanitation, and hygiene, while also empowering women and children by saving time previously spent fetching water.
