NT PHN is funded by the Australian Government to commission primary health care services that meet local health needs and priorities. NT PHN works to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of primary health care to ensure Territorians receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time by commissioning the delivery of health. NT PHN is also the NT's Rural Workforce Agency working to attract, recruit, educate and retain professional primary health care workers in the NT. NT PHN focused on its role as a key part of the Northern Territory health system by building on local partnerships and strategically directing resources to achieve service integration and excellence across the Northern Territory s primary health care system.
