Harcourt Valley Heritage & Tourist Centre Inc conducts the district's heritage museum, archive and research centre. The committee conserved and displayed historical artefacts, assisted researchers (amateur, professional and genealogical) , contributed award winning historical articles to local publications, conducted the local ANZAC observance, hosted school visits, moderated the community website, partnered with other district organisations to conduct the annual Harcourt Applefest, provided comprehensive baseline data to assist the Municipal Council to develop and formalise a pioneering initiative in the planning scheme, and auspiced two major historical books.
