Greenpeace Australia Pacific s charitable purpose is to protect, preserve and enhance the natural environment, and its mission is to secure the ability of the earth to nurture and sustain life in all of its magnificent diversity. Specifically the Company seeks to keep climate change below 1.5 degrees by the end of this century and to secure conditions for biodiversity to flourish. The Company works on the most urgent environmental issues of our time, with priorities including climate change, the depletion of marine and terrestrial wildlife, and threats to iconic regions including the Pilbara coast and islands across the Pacific. The Company s primary goals as stated in its 20242026 Strategic Plan are to drive change such that: Australia steps up as leader on climate and nature protection; and Pacific power to drive global change is supercharged. The charity believes these goals will enable climate action at the necessary speed and scale and will contribute towards keeping global warming below 1.5 degrees and protecting biodiversity.
