The purpose of the Great Southern Reef Foundation (GSRF) is to advance the natural environment by: increasing awareness and understanding of Australia s kelp forests (The Great Southern Reef); advancing the stewardship and longterm health of the Great Southern Reef environments; acting as knowledge brokers for the Great Southern Reef, representing the latest science, fostering education and awareness, and celebrating its cultures and communities; facilitating a nationwide network of experts, groups and community members who are the stewards of the health of The Great Southern Reef.
