We provided and maintained mobility scooters or 'Gofors' for adults in Gulgong (population 2,000) with minor disabilities, eg, aged, sports injuries etc, so they can be self sufficient. We also provide instruction on running and handling the Gofors which is quite straightforward. This service is provided for a small hiring fee per fortnight. Some of the hirers recover from their disabilities or injuries and then return their 'Gofor' to be available for future hiring. There was an average of 8 to 10 'Gofors hired at any one time
