Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund IncRegistered

We provided relief and support, generally in the form of financial support, to people within the Gippsland region affected by a natural disaster. We work with the six councils within Gippsland during these times to provide support to people who have suffered loss, injury or damage due to or arising from the outbreak of an occurrence of a bushfire, flood or other natural disaster event. In 202324 GERF provided financial support for four events: the Briagolong Loch Sport fire and flood event in October 2023; the Buchan, Welshpool & Toora storm and flood event on Boxing Day 2023; a storm cell event that impacted Longwarry in January 2024; and the storm event that impacted across Gippsland on February 14 2024, which severely impacted Mirboo North.
